The Panoram was a short lived 1940’s experiment in providing coin operated film viewing. The company that created it produced over a thousand 3 minute music films, forerunners of the music video. Researched and written by Hugh Davies. The zine includes a video of one of the original films accessed via magic dot media and your smart phone (uses NFC technology).
Hugh Davies is a partner of Paper-works printmaking studio in Lowestoft. Paper-works* is the instigator of Distromat and the Lowdown monthly listings zine.
