A celebration of “Wake Up” a zine, record label and promoter of several micro festivals. A product of the hard work and dedication of Dave “Womble” from Lowestoft in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Wake Up championed progressive and alternative thinking in punk music, rant poetry, politics and beyond. Researched and written by Hugh Davies with thanks to Dave. Hugh Davies is a partner of Paper-works printmaking studio in Lowestoft. Paper-works* is the instigator of Distromat and the Lowdown monthly listings zine.
